I sharpened 2 of our kitchen knives when we got it. i'm giving only 4 stars because it kinda made little pits in the knife blades. while it did work & definitely sharpened our 2 knives, it kinda made our knife blades a little jagged in tiny little places. if you're wanting to sharpen outdoor knives or little pocket beater blades, then it would be perfect for that.
